Recently,the supply and demand pattern of global DRAM market has been continuously tightened,and the trend of price increase in the industry has become more and more clear.According to the latest industry forecast of investment bank Goldman Sachs,the global gap between supply and demand of DRAM products will continue to expand.This year's gap is expected to reach 5.0%,and it will further climb to 5.9%next year,which is significantly higher than the previous forecast data,and the demand for DRAM products in the industry continues to intensify.
 

The core incentive for the current round of DRAM price increase is the restructuring of production capacity driven by the outbreak of the AI industry.With the blowout of computing power demand for AI servers,the demand for high-bandwidth memory HBM and large-capacity server-specific DRAM continues to surge,and a large number of original DRAM production capacity is obliquely allocated to HBM production line,which directly leads to the contraction of production capacity supply of consumer-grade and general-purpose DRAM,and the spot supply of all kinds of DRAM is gradually tightening.According to Goldman Sachs data,the global HBM market scale will double next year,and the high-speed iteration of computing hardware will further promote storage manufacturers to increase the HBM capacity layout.
 

Compared with the bottom stage of DRAM price in early 2023,the capacity and performance of mainstream products in the current market have been greatly improved.At that time,the market circulation benchmark was DDR4 8Gb products.Now the industry spot pricing benchmark has been updated to DDR5 16Gb specifications,the mainstream storage capacity has doubled,the process accuracy and transmission rate have been comprehensively upgraded,and the imbalance between supply and demand has been superimposed,providing solid support for the continuous upward trend of DRAM prices.
